There are times when removing the flesh from an avocado can be risky business.
Here’s how to do it safely and easily.
First, slice the avocado in half and gently twist each half using one hand to separate them from each other. Tap the pit with a knife with enough force so that the knife edge wedges into the pit, twist the pit out of the avocado and discard. Next, use a spoon to scoop the flesh out of the skin of the avocado.
If you like it hot, you can accompany tacos with a Mexican sauce such as ranchero sauce or serrano chile green sauce. Nowadays, it’s possible to find many of these sauces in many supermarkets.
Accompany spectacular Mexican food with a michelada. It’s the most famous cocktail in Mexico, and it’s made with beer, lime, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
