Combining this ingredient with octopus is an excellent idea, since octopus also offers a wide range of nutrients for the body and contains no fat. Preparing this dish is very simple, the ingredients are easy to find and it does not take a lot of time.

The pasta stands out among all of them for its fiber, especially if it is integral. It contains complex carbohydrates, which are absorbed little by little and do not cause blood sugar peaks.

You will need parmesan cheese for this recipe, a classic of Italian cuisine. It brings a soft and tasty flavor as few cheeses do.

Together with these, the onion contributes to provide some flavor, and the tomato sauce cannot be missing in a good pasta dish seasoned with a little bit of oregano.

Ingredients for two people:

200 g – 2 cooked octopus tentacles from de 200gr.
200 gr of pasta
Two peeled garlic cloves
1 tomato
1 zucchini
1 red pepper
2 small carrots
1 green pepper
Olive oil
Salt and pepper


  • The first thing to do is to defrost the octopus. This is a task that will hardly involve any effort. Leave the tentacles in the packaging submerged in cold water for half an hour. Once ready, we set them aside in the refrigerator. If you have bought it refrigerated, this step would not be necessary.
  • Put water to boil in a pot with salt and a drizzle of oil. To speed up the process, cover the pot.
  • Next and while you are waiting for the water to boil, chop all the vegetables into small cubes. 
  • Add the pasta when it starts to boil and cook for ten minutes or the time indicated on the package.
  • While the pasta is cooking, put a frying pan with a little oil to heat and cut the octopus into large pieces.
  • When the oil is hot, fry the garlic and the onion over low heat. When the onion is almost transparent, add the rest of the vegetables and continue frying.
  • Once the vegetables are a little bit cooked, add the octopus to the pan, turn up the heat and sauté it for a couple of minutes. Then add a couple of spoonfuls of tomato sauce. Lower the heat and let it cook for a few minutes.
  • Drain the pasta when it is ready and add it to the pan for a minute and season with salt and pepper. This way, the ingredients will mix in this unique dish and the pasta will take the flavor of the sauce. 
  • To finish, grate some parmesan cheese and sprinkle some parsley.
