You won’t find a simpler recipe with this set of ingredients. Our octopus spaghetti recipe is designed for two and won’t take more than 30 minutes to make. You can find the affordable ingredients in any supermarket and enjoy this dish any time of the year.

Ingredients

2 precooked el Rey del Pulpo octopus tentacles (about 10.5 oz)

7 oz spaghetti

2 cloves garlic, peeled

3 tbs homemade tomato sauce

Olive oil

1 tsp sweet or hot paprika, to taste

Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  • First, take your precooked octopus out of the fridge or freezer. This octopus is known not only for its excellent quality, but also because it keeps all the nutritional value of the octopus intact. If you’re using frozen tentacles, simply submerge the unopened package in water. The octopus should be defrosted in about 30 minutes.
  • Next, cut it into 3/4-of-an-inch pieces and set them aside for later.
  • Now it’s time to cook the pasta. The easiest step! Simply bring water to boil with salt and a splash of oil. Add in the spaghetti once boiling. It should be al dente in about eight to ten minutes, but be sure to follow the instructions on the package to ensure you get it just right.
  • While the pasta is cooking, prepare the sauce. First, add a splash of olive oil and the garlic to a frying pan. Heat on low for a few minutes to infuse the oil with the garlic. Next, add the tentacle pieces to brown. Once they’re ready, add the paprika and tomato sauce. Let this mixture simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, then add salt and pepper.
  • When the pasta is ready, drain it and mix in a splash of extra virgin olive oil. Plate the pasta and pour the octopus tomato sauce on top. Get ready to be amazed!
