Ingredients for 2 servings:

For the dough:

2/3 cup lukewarm water.

3/4 tbs extra-virgin olive oil.

1 ¼ tsp sugar.

3 tsp fresh yeast.

1 ¼ tsp salt.

2 cups bread flour.

1 medium package el Rey del Pulpo cooked octopus.

8 oz can crushed tomatoes or tomato puree.

8 oz package shredded four cheese blend.

6 cherry tomatoes.

1 small jar cooked broccoli rabe.

6 shrimps.

  • Since you need to let it rise, start by making the dough for your octopus pizza. Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Add it to the well with the oil, sugar and salt.
  • Mix until well combined and turn out onto a clean worktop. Knead for approximately 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic (you can add a little flour if the dough sticks to the worktop).
  • Shape into a ball, place in a bowl, and cover with plastic wrap or a damp dish towel.
  • Set aside and proof for about an hour.
  • Lightly sprinkle the worktop with flour and set the ball of dough on it.
  • Roll it out using a rolling pin until very thin. You can also use your hands. To do this, flatten the ball slightly with your palms and stretch it out using your fingers, pressing down and stretching the pizza dough outwards. This method lets you create a slightly thicker edge for the crust.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Spread the tomato purée over most of the dough, leaving the edges of the octopus pizza bare, and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  • Cut the el Rey del Pulpo precooked octopus into thick slices and set them on top of the cheese.
  • Drain the rapini, shell and wash the shrimp, halve the cherry tomatoes, and scatter all over the pizza.
  • Bake for 15 minutes and enjoy!

If you have a stand mixer at home, making the dough for this octopus pizza will be even easier!

  • Add the ingredients to the stand mixer bowl in this order: water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, flour and salt.
  • With the hook attachment, knead on low until smooth (about 3 min).
  • Then, form a ball with the dough and follow the recipe from step 4.

One way to find out how much time to leave the dough to rise: place a small piece of dough in a glass of water. It will sink to the bottom. Once it floats, the dough is ready.

You can also use chili oil to it to spice it up. Just add a splash once the pizza comes out of the oven.
