OCTOPUS MINI PIZZAS WITH CHEESE

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for 8 mini pizzas:

1 package

1 package el Rey del Pulpo precooked half octopus

10.5 oz cheese

1 small jar tomato sauce

Sweet paprika

Oregano

Olive oil

For the mini pizza dough:

1 2/3 cups bread flour

1/2 cup lukewarm water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • To make the mini pizza dough, first dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and allow to sit for 10 minutes to activate.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt, then add the water and yeast and mix well.
  • Tip the dough out onto a floured work surface. Knead for 5 to 10 minutes until the dough is smooth.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and leave to rise for about 1 hour.
  • While the dough is rising, slice the octopus tentacles and shred the cheese.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Once the mini pizza dough is ready, punch down the dough, divide into 8 equal portions and shape into balls.
  • Stretch out the dough to form the mini pizzas and place on parchment paper.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on each mini pizza and sprinkle a bit of oregano.
  • Top with the shredded cheese and octopus slices.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven, drizzle lightly with olive oil, sprinkle with sweet paprika, and serve.

A FEW TIPS TO MAKE DELICIOUS OCTOPUS MINI PIZZAS

Use any cheese you like, or a mix, just make sure they melt well.

Want to give your mini pizzas a bit of a kick? Use a spicy, chili-infused olive oil, or use hot paprika instead of sweet paprika.
